Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is a,

body-based, empirically supported, adjunctive treatment

for developmental & complex trauma.

Integrating principles from

neuroscience, trauma theory, attachment, and hatha style yoga movement.

Healing from complex trauma is a deeply personal journey —

one that involves reconnecting not just with the mind, but with the body and nervous system where trauma often lives.

Research shows that overwhelming experiences can leave our nervous system locked in survival modes

—fight, flight, freeze, or collapse—

even long after the original danger has passed.

TCTSY offers a compassionate, evidence-informed approach designed to gently guide you back to your body’s natural rhythm.

TCTSY is NOT about forcing trauma to be released or erased.


It is
an invitation to slowly awaken to your body’s natural wisdom,
to
rediscover the,

quiet knowing, that inner wisdom, that lives within us all.

You

At the heart of Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY)

is creating a space where you can be exactly who you are.

During the sessions you might choose to move, rest, or simply be in the space,

there is no expectation nor pressure.

TCTSY welcomes all bodies and abilities, with options to practice seated, standing, or lying down.

The facilitator stays present, guiding you, while also moving alongside you in a shared journey.

There are no incense, Sanskrit chants, or complicated rituals,

just a compassionate approach designed to support your healing.

Trauma often takes away choice;

so during TCTSY sessions,

every moment is invitational,

empowering you to reclaim

your power

and discover your flow,

your rhythm,

and as we like to say your true authentic, WilD self.

  • Learn the foundations of TCTSY — understand the core principles and why they matter in creating safety and choice in body-based practices.

  • Experience the 4 pillars in action — guided sessions on Present Moment Awareness, Making Choices, Taking Effective Action, and Creating Rhythms.

  • Blend theory with practice — explore the research and participate in the practice of TCTSY

  • Bonus integration session — a 45-minute practice to bring it all together and support your ongoing journey.
